Nationals
The 12 school/club teams per gender that go through to the national final, worked out from season points. Age categories don't apply — every rider is ranked in one pool.
How selection works
- A rider's nationals score is their best 4 race results of the season.
- Male and female riders form separate teams and separate top-12 lists.
- A team is a school or club's top 4 female / 5 male riders by that score; the team's points are those riders' scores added together.
- The next rider down is the reserve — 5th for a female team, 6th for a male team.
- A school deep enough to place a second full squad in the top 12 fields a B team (female riders 5–8, male riders 6–10). Those two squads then share reserves: riders 9–10 for female teams, 11–12 for male.
